By completing the Ngāi Te Rangi Tribal Register Application Form, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. The information provided is primarily used to verify whakapapa, maintain iwi records, facilitate hapū engagement, and enable communication on iwi and hapū matters.

Hapū and Marae Affiliations (including all nominated hapū)

Purpose of Collecting Your Information

Verify your whakapapa to Ngāi Te Rangi Iwi.
Maintain an accurate Ngāi Te Rangi Tribal Register.
Assist uri in connecting with their iwi and nominated hapū.
Enable participation in hapū and iwi decision-making processes (e.g., voting in trustee elections).
Support communication regarding iwi and hapū governance, fisheries settlement assets, newsletters, hui, surveys, and other tribal matters.
Fulfil legal and governance obligations.
Disclosure of Your Information
By completing the registration form, you acknowledge and consent to the sharing of your name and tribal register number with:
All nominated hapū for representation and engagement purposes.
Ngāi Te Rangi Settlement Trust and Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Te Rangi Iwi Trust (for governance and communications).
Your contact details (phone, email, address) will only be shared with your nominated hapū if you have provided explicit consent.
We will not disclose your personal information to any third party without your consent, except:

In anonymised formats for statistical and research purposes.
Ngā Pōtiki Members: If you whakapapa to Ngā Pōtiki a Tamapahore, your information may be referred to Ngā Pōtiki a Tamapahore Trust for Treaty Settlements administration.
